A Month of Minecraft

Making it a month in the top spot, A Minecraft Movies falls 53% this weekend to £2,492,087. It has now surpassed Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy to become the top grossing film of 2025 with £51,674,822. Even after a month, it’s currently still the widest release on the chart with 696 screens.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith opens in 3rd place this week as the best new release. Grossing £1,762,623 it enjoyed the 12th best opening of the year so far on 637 screens. The original release of Episode III grossed £39,210,148 back in 2005, its opening weekend then was £14,361,469.

The Accountant 2 opens in 4th place with £907,034 from 507 screens. This was the 22nd best opening weekend of the year behind Black Bag. The original opened to £1,623,866 back in 2016 grossing £5,067,474 by the end of its run.

Pink Floyd At Pompeii – MCMLXXII opens in 5th place this week with £682,672. Good enough to be the 29th top opening weekend of the year so far.

Sinners mirrored its stateside performance and barely declined this weekend. Accounting for it’s previews it actually increased from last  weekend, but with previews it fell only 1%. With £2,417,082 in its second weekend, it’s now up to £7,277,715 and the 8th. top grossing film of 2025 behind We Live In Time.
