F1 Takes top spot

Opening with £7,071,647, F1 sprinted to the top of the UK box office chart, claiming the 6th highest debut of 2025. The film's performance includes an impressive £2,147,964 from 653 previews, reflecting strong audience anticipation. Its rollout spanned 703 screens, making it the 38th widest release of all time in the UK.


28 Years Later Stumbles

After a robust opening, 28 Years Later saw a weekend gross of £2,379,964, marking a 50% drop overall. However, excluding previews, the decline softens to just 39% — indicating decent week-on-week retention. Its running total now stands at £9,704,463.

In its third frame, How To Train Your Dragon brought in £1,996,805, a 29% decline from the previous week. The animated juggernaut continues to dominate, with a cumulative gross of £15,925,368, securing its place as one of the year’s top performers.


Elio Steadies

Sci-fi adventure Elio held relatively firm, dropping 21% to £765,541 in its second weekend. The fall remains consistent even when excluding previews, showcasing stable audience interest. Total earnings to date: £2,075,161.


Lilo & Stitch’s appeal

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch continues its phenomenal run, earning another £539,281. Now in its sixth week, the film’s lifetime gross has reached a stellar £35,064,308, solidifying its status as the studio’s biggest UK hit in 2025.


Mission: Impossible Nears Franchise Summit

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning brought in £325,259 this weekend and now stands at £25,520,587. That places it just £1,000,000 shy of becoming the highest-grossing entry in the franchise’s UK history.


Other Highlights

  • M3GAN 2.0 opened with £508,947 on 536 screens, marking a modest start for the sequel.

  • Sardaar Ji 3 delivered a strong per-screen average, grossing £232,447 from only 87 screens.

  • Family favourite Peppa Meets The Baby Cinema Experience added £52,607, lifting its total to £2,140,203.


 Niche & Concert Releases

  • Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful (Concert) debuted with £69,335 from 187 screens, drawing in fans of the pop icon.

  • The Salt Path, Sitaare Zameen Par, Karate Kid: Legends, and The Ballad Of Wallis Island continued their slow but steady climbs.
