How To Train Your Dragon, now in week 8, is still breathing cinematic fire with a total of £22,031,823 despite a 38% dip.
28 Years Later is slowing but still relevant, clocking £94,839 this weekend for an overall sum of £15,398,112.
Sharp Drops and Genre Shakeups
A few titles saw sharper declines:
I Know What You Did Last Summer fell 48% but has earned a solid £2,516,306 across three weeks.
Smurfs (-27%) and Elio (-19%) continue their slow slide but remain viable options for families and animation lovers.
While Fantastic Four retains its box office crown, the fresh momentum brought by The Naked Gun and Bring Her Back demonstrates strong public appetite for both comedic reboots and psychological thrillers. Combined with stable showings from long-running franchise entries like Jurassic World Rebirth and Superman, this weekend offered impressive breadth across genres.
Weekend Gross: £12,270,552 Ranking: 15th Best of the Year, a solid indicator of continued audience engagement midway through 2025.

Warner Bros’ Weapons arrives with intrigue and genre momentum, positioning it as a likely top-five contender. K-pop fans will turn out for #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR In AMSTERDAM: LIVE VIEWING, while 4K re-releases like Sense and Sensibility and Summer Wars offer prestige and nostalgia programming.
