Debuting across 700 locations, Warner Bros.' latest Superman reboot soared to £6,992,902, claiming the top spot and ranking as the 8th best opening of the year, just behind F1 The Movie. It also notched the 42nd widest release in UK history.

Universal's Jurassic World Rebirth pulled £3,236,505 (a steep 74% fall, or 65% excluding previews) from 696 cinemas, lifting its total to £19,383,471. That secures it the spot as the 5th highest grossing film of 2025, trailing only Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

 

F1 The Movie Still in the Fast Lane

With a £1,170,338 weekend haul across 661 locations, F1 The Movie remains firmly planted in the top 3. It now boasts £15,882,658 to date and overtakes Thunderbolts to become 2025’s 9th top grosser.

 

How To Train Your Dragon and 28 Years Later Slide but Hold

  • How To Train Your Dragon: £582,038 (-61%), total now £19,319,953

  • 28 Years Later: £498,015 (-65%), total now £13,729,504

Despite steep drops, both films retain strong cumulative earnings, remaining in the top five and top ten respectively.

 

CBeebies Musical and Anime Nostalgia Debut Gently

  • New release CBeebies Musical – The Great Ice Cream Hunt served up £34,334 in its debut across 326 sites, perfect for little adventurers.
