This concert-documentary hybrid drew massive fan turnout and sets the stage for a strong second week, especially with Swift’s global fan base fueling momentum.


New Entries

Several newcomers made impressive debuts:

  • The Smashing Machine opened at No. 4 with £863,078 from 657 screens, signalling solid interest in its gritty sports drama.

  • Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 (Dreamz Entertainment Private Limited) landed at No. 6 with £343,984, including £125,327 from 162 previews, showing strong regional support and potential for word-of-mouth growth.

  • Him debuted at No. 8 with £275,705 from 424 screens, a respectable start for a psychological thriller.

  • Avatar: The Way Of Water (Re: 2025) returned in 10th place with £254,394 from 418 screens, proving the franchise’s enduring appeal.

  • Urchin and Dora: Magic Mermaid Adventures rounded out the Top 15 with £131,116 and £107,009 respectively, both finding niche audiences.

Holdovers: Mixed Fortunes

  • One Battle After Another (Warner Bros Int’l) held second place with £1,974,028, down just 21% from its debut. Notably, this drop is only 20% when excluding previews, indicating strong weekday traction.

  • Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale slipped 34% to £867,282, but its total now stands at a robust £15,581,565 after four weeks.

  • The Conjuring: Last Rites continues its spooky run with £511,055 (down 39%), bringing its total to £17,295,399.

  • The Bad Guys 2 rose 13% to £264,827, now at £13,819,836—making it the 16th highest-grossing film of 2025, just behind 28 Years Later.

  • The Long Walk, The Roses, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle all saw sharper declines, but maintain healthy cumulative grosses.
