The UK box office saw another strong weekend, with Lilo & Stitch maintaining its number one position, pulling in £3,528,384 despite a 43% drop from last week. The Disney remake continues to charm audiences, pushing its total earnings past £31,150,259, remaining as the third top grossing film of 2025 behind Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
New Entries This Week
#3 – Ballerina (£1,418,816, 570 screens)This stylish action thriller pirouetted into third place, making a solid start with £1,418,816. As a John Wick spin-off, it had the 19th top opening weekend of the year behind The Salt Path.
#8 – Clown In A Cornfield (£350,198, 305 screens)Horror fans got their fix with Clown In A Cornfield, an adaptation of the cult-favourite novel. While its opening numbers are modest, horror films often have strong legs, so it’ll be interesting to see if word-of-mouth helps it grow in the coming weeks.
#10 – Thug Life (£257,659, 178 screens)This gritty crime drama entered the charts at number ten, bringing a raw and intense narrative to UK audiences. With a smaller screen count, its debut is respectable, and it could gain traction if reviews and audience buzz remain positive.
#12 – Housefull 5 (£230,692, 151 screens)Bollywood comedy Housefull 5 landed at number twelve, continuing the franchise’s tradition of over-the-top humour and star-studded chaos. While its UK box office numbers are modest, it’s likely performing much stronger in international markets.
#13 – Dangerous Animals (£132,291, 246 screens)A psychological thriller with a mysterious edge, Dangerous Animals made its debut at number thirteen. Its lower earnings suggest a niche appeal, but thrillers often find their audience over time.
#14 – Love Guru (£129,909, 43 screens)With just 43 screens, Love Guru had a limited release but still managed to crack the top 15. This suggests strong per-screen performance, and it could expand further if demand grows.
Overall, Lilo & Stitch continues to dominate, while Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning holds steady in second place pushing its total up to £21,557,704 and the 4th top grossing film of the year. The new entries bring a mix of action, horror, and comedy, ensuring there’s something for everyone at the cinema this week.
